Rebekah M Polly

My work explores the intersections of people, place, and the natural world through painting and ceramics, with a focus on social justice, environmental issues, and our relationship to the world around us. I am interested in the tension between control and unpredictability, allowing materials and process to shape the work as much as intention. My background as an educator deeply informs my studio practice, and I view art as a way to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and encourage curiosity and critical thinking. Through both making and teaching, I use creativity as a means of connection, reflection, and exploring new ways of understanding ourselves, our communities, and the world we share.
